How to Make Money Online With Simple Blog Posts

Instructions
1
Compose a list of topics you are
passionate and knowledgeable about.
Successful blogging for money typically
requires hundreds of posts over a
period of months or years -- choosing
topics you know and care about can
help provide the motivation and content
you need.
2
Search for phrases related to your
potential blog topics using a major
search engine such as Google or Bing.
Take note of how many search results or
paid ads appear for each search. If
other people are writing about the topic
or paying for ads to attract visitors, the
topic likely has the potential to make
money.
3
Sign up for a blog on a blog host such
as WordPress or Blogger. Choose a name
for your blog that is relevant to the
topic you selected, so visitors will know
what to expect when they arrive.
4
Begin writing simple posts of about 250
to 400 words each. Each post needs to
relate to the main topic and focus on a
specific aspect of that topic. For
example, if you start a blog about
freelance writing, posts can focus on
aspects like getting clients, organization,
maintaining motivation, tax
considerations and setting fees.
5
Sign up for a contextual advertising
service such as Google Adwords or
Adbrite. You will place a short section of
code on your blog that generates
advertisements relevant to your posts.
Each time a visitor clicks on one of the
ads, you earn a small fee, usually
between $0.05 and $1.00 depending on
the popularity of the topic.
6
Place affiliate advertisements on your
blog. Online businesses offer affiliate
programs for a wide variety of products
and services, from consumer electronics
to credit cards. When a blog visitor
clicks on an affiliate advertisement and
purchases a product or service from the
advertiser, you earn a commission.
Tips & Warnings
Select affiliate advertisements for products
and services that are relevant to your blog
topic. Visitors reading a blog about oil
painting are less likely to click on an
advertisement for frozen steaks than an
advertisement for discount art supplies.
Write in a casual, conversational style to
draw in readers and keep them on your
blog.
Provide a disclosure on your blog stating
that you receive compensation from
advertisements. The Federal Trade
Commission requires bloggers to provide
this disclosure.
